In 1904, the RTM (Rotterdamsche Tramweg Maatschappij) opened this terminus station of the steam tram connecting Rotterdam to the islands of Zuid Holland and Zeeland. The ‘killer tram’ (het moordenaartje) was discontinued around 1967. The building currently houses art and healthcare facilities.
